Basel, Switzerland

Rathaus -- The town hall of Basel is mostly open to visitors, as it has been for centuries. The view above, from Markplatz, is appropriately taken from Free Street (Freiestrasse). There were few of the metal detectors, redundant barriers and other regrettable necessities of contemporary civic facilities.

These photos are taken with the Canon G1 digital camera.
