The Great Ocean Road, Victoria

The Blowhole -- The erosion of the limestone coast is occurring even beneath one's very feet.  Here, a pool collects seawater channeled briefly underground.

This was the site of a gruesome scene on a sad evening in 1859, when four corpses washed ashore from the shipwreck of the Lord Ard, spotted under moonlight.
