Owaka, New Zealand

Pastorale -- This typical tableau of green pastures dotted with sheep occurs near Owaka, along the Southern Scenic Route that runs through the Catlins Forest. What should have been a five-minute roadside stop to document a requisite impression of rural South Island stretched on for nearly half an hour, as I scoured the grass to find a piece of camera bag padding (with success).
